Mira to Figueira da Foz

Started off early this morning heading for Figueira da Fox light house. I come across a deserted beach along the way, so I stopped for lunch which consisted of a tin of hotdogs and bread which I cooked on my stove. Then I continued to the light house which up a mountain… Or hill. On reaching the top I gave a rocky punch in the air. Man that mountain was really hard work. Here are some images to share.

The cobles stones of Porto

I arrived in Porto late Tuesday night after riding 85 miles and having a few thrills and spills along the way, more about another time. Woke up to the same wet damp weather but decided to have a little look the city of Porto. This amazing city has great buildings and even more impressive bridges lined by cobbled streets which is not good for touring bikes. Here are a few images of Porto.

Random acts update.. 3 and counting

Random acts of kindness is harder than I first thought but I am pleased to say that a further two have been added. The very simple act of giving money to people who are clearly in need has been the easiest way I have found to date. I’ve not found a cat stuck up a tree or a good looking lady stranded on the side of the road with a flat tyre yet but rest assured I’m still looking. So the random act counter now stands at 3.

To date I have received more help from from complete strangers than I’ve given out. Most of them have been language issues and directions. So a big thanks to the people who have in their own small way helped us. I am sure the universe will send them my thanks in some way..
